The short version. Your games, players and scores never leave your phone. There is no account and nothing to sign in to. The app shows ads and reports crashes, which involves Google and a purchase service, and you can turn the advertising tracking off. This website counts visits only if you accept it.
Who is responsible
Maxi Score Sheet is made and published by David Colin, an individual developer. For anything in this policy, including any request about your data, write to contact@colindavid.net.
This policy covers both the mobile app and this website.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored locally and is never sent anywhere:
- Player names you type in
- Scores, finished games and the game history
- Per-player statistics
- Your chosen language and whether you have seen the introduction
There is no server holding your games. Deleting the app deletes all of it, permanently and with no way for anyone, including me, to recover it. Clearing the history from inside the app has the same effect on that data.
Player names are whatever you choose to type. They are only ever a label on a column, so a first name or a nickname is enough.
What the app sends to others
The app uses a small number of third-party services. None of them receives your games or scores.

These services see technical information about your device rather than about you personally. I never receive your name, your email address or your payment details.
What the app does not do
- It does not ask for or use your location.
- It does not read your contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- It does not send push notifications.
- It has no account, no login and no way to link one device to another.
- It does not sell data to anyone.
Advertising, and how to change your mind
Ads pay for the app. How they are chosen depends on choices you make, and you can revisit those choices at any time.
On iPhone and iPad
The first time you open the app, iOS asks whether Maxi Score Sheet may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised. You can change it later in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
You are shown a consent form from Google before any personalised advertising happens. Declining leaves you with non-personalised ads, which are chosen from the content of the app rather than from anything about you.
Everywhere
Your device also has a system-wide setting: Settings, Google, Ads on Android, and the Tracking setting above on iOS. Turning ads off entirely is what the Premium subscription does.
This website
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It is switched off until you accept it: nothing is stored in your browser, and no analytics data is sent, unless you choose Accept in the banner.
If you accepted and want to undo that, use Cookie settings at the bottom of the home page and choose Decline. Your choice is remembered in your own browser and nowhere else.
The site sets no other cookies, has no advertising and no social media trackers.
Why this is lawful
Under the GDPR, the reasons for handling this data are:
- Your consent, for personalised advertising and for website analytics. You give it explicitly, and you can withdraw it as described above.
- Legitimate interest, for crash reports, performance measurements and non-personalised advertising: keeping a free app working and paid for. You can object to this by writing to me.
- Performance of a contract, for the Premium subscription, which cannot be provided without processing the purchase.
Some of these services are operated from the United States. Google and RevenueCat transfer data on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long data is kept
- Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Analytics and crash data are kept by Google under their own retention periods, which are measured in months rather than years.
- Subscription status is kept by RevenueCat for as long as the subscription is active, and afterwards for accounting purposes.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to contact@colindavid.net and I will answer within one month.
Because the app has no account, I usually have no way to identify which data is yours. For anything held on your device the fastest route is to clear the history in the app or uninstall it, which erases it immediately and completely.
If you think your data has been mishandled, you may complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Children
The app is not aimed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect anything from them. It is a score pad for a family dice game, so children may well play it alongside adults. If you are a parent and believe something has been collected from your child, write to me and I will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
